The department functions as part of the Division of Diagnostics and Treatment of Hematological Diseases.
The Clinical and Diagnostic Department of Hematology and Chemotherapy with Day Hospital was organized as a part of the Consultative Polyclinic Department in 2014.
The department deals with outpatient diagnostics of a wide range of hematological diseases, including lymphoproliferative diseases (Hodgkin's lymphoma, non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, hairy cell leukemia, myeloma, plasmocytoma, etc.), acute leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, anemia, thrombophilia, thrombocytopathies, histiocytosis, porphyria, and others. A differential diagnosis is made with diseases of the blood system in fevers of unknown origin.
Admission of patients is conducted by highly qualified hematology specialists, doctors of the highest category.
Laboratory and instrumental studies are carried out. Diagnostic procedures are performed — bone marrow puncture and trepanobiopsy.
In the day hospital of the department, patients with lymphoproliferative diseases, myelodysplastic syndromes and other hematological diseases are treated.
