The department was established in 2012 as a part of the Department of High-Dose Hemoblastosis Chemotherapy and Bone Marrow Transplantation. For several years, the staff of the two departments worked together in the field of implementing transplantation techniques in various diseases of the oncohematological profile and increasing activity in the treatment of multiple myeloma. During those years, the division was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor L P. Mendeleeva.
In 2018, the Department of Hematology and Chemotherapy of Paraproteinemic Hemoblastoses with a Bone Marrow and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Unit moved to newly renovated premises and has 22 specialized hematology beds, including 1-bed, 2-bed and 4-bed wards.

The department functions as part of the Division of Chemotherapy of Paraproteinemic Hemoblastosis.
The department, as an independent clinical unit, was organized in 2022. The need to open this department as part of the Division of Chemotherapy of Paraproteinemic Hemoblastosis was dictated by the increased need for diagnostic and therapeutic measures for patients with various plasma cell tumors in outpatient settings. Doctors working in the day hospital participate in rounds and are on duty in the round-the-clock Department of Hematology and Chemotherapy of Paraproteinemic Hemoblastosis with Bone Marrow and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Unit, which provides in-depth knowledge of the course of the disease in patients with plasma cell tumors receiving intensive antitumor treatment. Close cooperation with the department's round-the-clock hospitals makes it possible to maintain continuity in patient therapy.

Day Hospital of Immunochemotherapy after Bone Marrow and Hematopoietic Stem Cell TransplantationThe head of the department is hematologist, Vera A. Vasilieva, Candidate of Medical Sciences.
The department as an independent unit was opened in November 2018 However, since 2016, the doctors of this unit have been engaged in outpatient admission of patients after BMT within the Department of Intensive High-Dose Chemotherapy and Bone Marrow Transplantation with Round-the-Clock Hospital (Head of the Department – Cand. Sci. (Med.), L.A. Kuzmina.)
The department is indispensable due to the increasing number of patients after BMT. The experience accumulated by the department in managing patients helps to coherently monitor, carry out diagnostic and preventive procedures for patients after BMT, and prevent serious complications at early stages. Patients are monitored throughout their entire subsequent life after allo-HSCT, more thoroughly during the first year after allogeneic BMT, since all significant events occur at this time. Particular attention is paid to patients with chronic GVHD, prevention of relapses and the presence of other complications after allo-HSCT.
In order to improve the quality of medical care, the doctors of the department created the "Patient Schools" project, which highlights potential problems and all topical issues related to allo- HSCT. All school lessons are recorded as video recommendations and posted on the website for transplant patients ( tkm.blood.ru ).

ParovchnikovaRead the entire reviewCollapseIn 2019, I was given a terrible diagnosis, acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Fortunately, I was referred for treatment to the NMRC for Hematology in Moscow. After ten months of treatment, bone marrow transplantation (BMT) from an unrelated donor and recovery, I was able to return to my usual lifestyle. But, unfortunately, in 2023, during a routine examination, a recurrence of leukemia was detected not in the bone marrow, but in an internal organ. The doctors of the Center have many times held assemblies on my extraordinary case. Of course, I was worried, but Larisa A. Kuzmina, head of the Department of BMT, told me then: "Don't worry, we don't leave our patients, we will definitely help this time." At first, there was a course of chemotherapy in a day hospital. I thank all the staff of the department, headed by their head, Irina A. Lukyanova, for their clear, well-coordinated work, as well as their responsiveness and attention! I would especially like to mention my doctor, Anastasia V. Abramova. Thank you very much for your understanding, the ability to correctly convey information to the patient, your kindness and care! It is very easy to communicate with such doctors, and this is very important for us. After the day hospital, I underwent surgery in the Department of Surgery, which was successfully performed by Gennady G. Khodjaev. Thanks to him for his golden hands that have saved many people! The third stage- bone marrow transplantation. This time, my daughter was the donor. I gave her life once, and now she's given it to me. The department is headed by Larisa A. Kuzmina. She is a very competent specialist and a wonderful person. She is very respected in the team. Everything is fine-tuned here: everything is clean, tidy, and the necessary medicines are available. Thanks to the medical staff and, of course, to my doctor, who guided me for almost four months, Zoya V. Kononova. This is a person with an extraordinary soul! She passes all the pain of the patients through herself. She treats everyone like a close relative. The resident doctor, Anastasia Pichugina, always came with her. This young doctor will make a worthy specialist in this field. I spent almost four months in this department. I celebrated my birthday, New Year and March 8th. Employees of the Leukemia Foundation came twice with congratulations and gifts. I thank them very much for their help and support! I am now at home and will be monitored at the BMT day hospital by my doctor, who has been guiding me since 2020, Ulyana V. Maslennikova. She is very kind, sweet, and always showed me maximum attention. The General Director, Dr. Elena N. Parovichnikova, headed all consultations from the moment of diagnosis and coordinated the course of my treatment. This is a professional of the highest class! Elena Nikolaevna works tirelessly to organize the work of all departments and introduces new methods of treatment. Thank you very much! I sincerely thank all of the employees of the NMRC for Hematology. May God grant you all health, goodness and success in the struggle for human lives! GorenkovaRead the entire reviewCollapseI have been a patient of the NMRC for Hematology since 2022, when for the first time I was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma of the skin. Prior to that, starting in December 2017, when I first showed symptoms of the disease, I consulted many medical and scientific institutions: the V.A. Rakhmanov Clinic of Skin Diseases, the V.A. Nasonova Research Institute of Rheumatology, and the State Scientific Center of Dermatovenerology and Cosmetology, as well as many other institutions. No one was able to determine what kind disease I had. It was only by chance that, having got an appointment in 2022, at the NMRC for Hematology with Dr. Lilia Gamilevna Gorenkova, the correct diagnosis was finally made. Lilia Gamilevna managed to choose the right treatment method, and as a result, my condition began to improve little by little, and the test results show that the treatment was chosen correctly. This indicates the high professionalism of the doctor. In addition, I would like to note the sensitivity, attentiveness and friendly attitude towards patients from Lilia Gamilevna. I sincerely thank you, dear Lilia Gamilevna, and a low bow to you!Oksana Olegovna Titova26 March 2024Gratitude to the head of the department — orthopedic traumatologist V.E. In February 2024, I arrived for a consultation with a diagnosis of unspecified anemia on a referral from a Moscow polyclinic. Thanks to her knowledge, work experience and research, Irina Semenovna diagnosed a rare genetic disease and gave further recommendations for its treatment.
