Irina V. Galtseva graduated with honors from the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov in 1991. From 1991-1993 she was a resident of the Department of Chemotherapy of Hemoblastosis and Bone Marrow Transplantation, with the specialty of "Hematology.” She completed her postgraduate studies in the specialty "Hematology and Blood Transfusion" from 1993-1996 and defended her thesis in 1997.
She is a member of the problem commission "Clinical Research in Hematology (hematological malignancies, hematopoiesis depression, BMT, myelo- and lymphoproliferative diseases, tumors of the lymphatic system, pathology of red blood, ITP, porphyria), Transfusiology, Hemostasis Pathology, Surgical Hematology, Anesthesiology and Intensive Care"; a member of the Competition Committee for filling vacant positions of scientific workers of the National Medical Research Center for Hematology; member of the Academic Council of the National Medical Research Center for Hematology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

Irina Galtseva lectures and conducts practical training for postgraduate and residency students at the National Medical Research Center for Hematology. She also gives lectures at advanced training courses for students of the National Medical Research Center for Hematology.
