Lilia Gorenkova graduated from the Moscow State Medical and Dental University named after A.I. Evdokimov (2000) and completed her residency NMRC for Hematology in the specialty hematology and blood transfusion (2006-2008).

She defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Sciences in 2013. As a result of this scientific work, a highly effective therapeutic strategy was introduced; the diagnosis of minimal residual disease in adult patients with ALK-positive anaplastic large-cell lymphoma.

One of her main research interests is the study of the features of diagnosis and treatment of cutaneous lymphomas. She is a recognized expert in this field in the Russian hematology community and an active member of the International Society of Cutaneous Lymphomas (ISCL), since 2020.

She has been the author T-cell lymphomas section of Russian clinical guidelines since 2016 and an editor of clinical recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation on diagnostic algorithms and protocols for the treatment of blood diseases. She annually participates in international and domestic conferences as a speaker on lymphoproliferative diseases.

Since 6 February 2024, Lilia Gorenkova has been in charge of the Department of Acute Leukemia and Lymphomas. The main tasks of the department are the study and treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia and T-cell lymphoproliferative diseases. The department conducts clinical research on the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, including the use of cellular (CAR-T, allogeneic bone marrow transplantation), targeted and immune therapies. A wide range of clinical studies on the therapy of nodal T-cell lymphomas have also been conducted. The department has published several scientific papers in the field of modern diagnosis of cutaneous lymphomas and is focused on the development of the latest, most relevant and effective algorithms for the treatment of late-stage fungal mycosis and other lymphoproliferative skin diseases. The department is also responsible for performing allogeneic transplantation in T-cell lymphomas.
