Head of the office- endoscopist of the Office of Endoscopy
In 1981 Vladimir Makhinya graduated from eight grades of secondary school No. 329. In 1985 he graduated from the Moscow Medical School No. 37 with a degree in paramedic obstetrics. From 1985 to 1987, Makhinya served in the ranks of the Soviet Army. From 1987 to 1994, he worked as a field paramedic at substation No. 42 of ambulance and emergency medical care in Moscow. In 1987 he entered, and in 1994 graduated from the Moscow Medical Stomatology Institute named after N.A. Semashko with a degree in general medicine. After completing an internship in surgery at the Department of Surgical Diseases at the Semashko Moscow Medical Institute, from 1995 to 1996 he worked in the same department as a senior laboratory assistant. From 1996 to 2002, he worked in the Endoscopy Department of the N.A. Semashko Central Clinical Hospital No. 4 of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. From 2002 to the present, he has been working in the Endoscopy Department of the National Medical Research Center for Hematology and since March 2011, he has been the head of the Endoscopy Department.
He has been engaged in endoscopic research methods since 1993. He is proficient in endoscopic methods of diagnostics of the respiratory tract, digestive organs, and biliary tract. Under the guidance of Professor E.F. Stronatko, he took an active part in scientific and practical work on the application of photodynamic therapy to patients with tumor processes in the respiratory and digestive tracts, as well as in the development of methods of extra- and intracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy in cholelithiasis. He performed therapeutic endoscopic manipulations using high-energy lasers for stenosis of the respiratory tract, upper digestive system, and removal of benign formations. He is proficient in the methods of endoprosthetics of the biliary tract and esophagus. Since 1998, he has independently performed retrograde cholangiopancreatography and endoscopic papilosphincterotomy. He has mastered the technique of endoscopic installation of gastrostomy and bronchoalveolar lavages and successfully applies these techniques in his work.
In 1994 he completed his primary specialization in endoscopy at the workplace at the Endoscopy Department of the N.A. Semashko Central Clinical Hospital No. 4 of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. In 1995 he completed an advanced training course in bronchology at the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education at the Institute of Tuberculosis of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.
He is skilled in all endoscopic diagnostic and therapeutic methods used in the clinic: RPHG, endoscopic gastrostomy, bronchography, endoscopic aids for puncture tracheostomies, colonoscopic examinations under intravenous anesthesia, etc. Currently he is mastering the technique of endosonography of the upper digestive tract.
