Tatyana N. Obukhova graduated from the Volgograd State Medical University in 1991 After graduation, she completed an internship in the specialty of "therapy.” From 1992-1994, she received her clinical residency training, continuing on to complete her postgraduate studies in the specialty "hematology and blood transfusion" at the Hematological Scientific Center (now NMRC for Hematology), in 1997 In 1998 she defended her thesis for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences.
Tatyana Obukhova has been an employee of the National Medical Research Center for Hematology in the position of a researcher since 1997, since 2002 - a senior researcher, since 2011 - a leading researcher, and since 2013 - head of the Laboratory of Karyology.
She participates in both Russian and international conferences presenting the results of scientific research annually, trains residents, graduate students, and specialists undergoing training and internship in the workplaces, and reads lectures for hematologists on improvement cycles.
Tatiana Obukhova is the country’s leading specialist in the field of molecular-cytogenetic research of tumor diseases of the lymphatic system.
In 2015, she was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
She is a member of the National Society of Hematology and the European Association of Cytogenetics.
