Anna G. Turkina graduated from Pirogov National Research Medical University with a degree in general medicine in 1976. Since then, she has been working at the National Research Center for Hematology, initially at the City Clinical Hospital named after S.P. Botkin, then at the National Medical Research Center for Hematology.
She is the chair of the Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Working Group of the National Hematological Society (NGO).
Leader of the Russian group and member of the expert council of the European LeukemiaNet (ELN), the European Hematological Society for the Study of Leukemia.
Member - representative of Russia in the International Committee for the Study of Leukemia and Associated Diseases (IACRLRD World Committee (International Association for Comparative Research on Leukemia and Related Diseases), 2007-2015).
She is also a member of the European Research Group for the Study of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (EICML), the American Association of Hematologists ASH (American Society of Hematology), and the Siberian Society of Hematology.
She was awarded with a diploma of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation in 2012.
Since 1997, she has annually participated in conferences of the European and American Associations of Hematology with both oral and poster presentations.
Under the guidance of Professor Turkina, 3 Doctoral and 11 Candidate dissertations have been defended.
