- Preparation instructions for an ultrasound examination of the abdominal organs
Preparation instructions for an ultrasound examination of the abdominal organsPreparation Instructions:The examination is carried out strictly on an empty stomach (if the examination is scheduled for the morning hours before 12:30), with an appointment at a later time, a light breakfast is acceptable. In patients with flatulence and constipation tendencies, a diet is recommended for 2 days before the study, which reduces gas production (excluding foods like cabbage, apples, milk, legumes, and other products). For patients of the hypersthenic type and in the absence of contraindications, it is advisable to take Espumisan. To improve the quality of examination of the retroperitoneal lymph nodes, it is advisable to empty the bladder. For studies of the pelvic organs in men and women, it is recommended to drink 500-700 ml of fluid in 1.5-2 hours in order to fill the bladder moderately.
