
The head of the department is Nadezhda I. Zozulya, hematologist, leading researcher, Doctor of Medical Sciences.
The department functions as part of the Division of Diagnostics and Treatment of Hematological Diseases.
The main activities of the department:
- introduction of modern technologies for diagnostics of the blood coagulation system in NMRC for Hematology, providing a full range of diagnostic tests in accordance with GCP and GLP. Topical diagnosis of hemostasis pathology;
- scientific, methodological, advisory and expert work with specialized patients suffering from a impairment of the hemostasis system;
- creation of new diagnostic methods, their testing in clinical practice with the involvement of specialists from the regions and leading foreign hemostatic centers;
- development of algorithms for personalized therapy of patients with hemophilia, von Willebrand disease and patients with rare forms of coagulopathy;
- participation in clinical trials on hemostasis pathology;
- development of new treatment protocols, manuals and recommendations, training programs on the pathology of hemostasis, and seminars for hematologists and doctors of related specialties;
- study of the pathogenesis of the formation of inhibitors to blood coagulation factors and the development of programmatic treatment of inhibitory patients;
- diagnosis and treatment of patients with thrombocytopathies;
- diagnosis and treatment of patients with hereditary and acquired thrombophilias;
- diagnosis and monitoring of pregnant women with impaired hemostasis;
- development of programs for psychological adaptation of patients and their families;
- maintenance of the Register of patients with hemophilia and von Willebrand's disease within the framework of the Unified Register of Diseases of the Blood System;
- conducting and participating in pharmacoeconomic studies and studies aimed at studying the quality of life of patients with coagulopathy and their family members;
- participation in the advisory and expert assessment of specialized research papers, articles, monographs, as well as laws of the federal and regional levels that affect the medical and social security of patients with coagulopathies.
