The department was established in 2020 under the leadership of hematologist, Candidate of Medical Sciences, O.A. Aleshina.
The department is the only specialized hospital, in Russia in the field of hematology, designed to provide specialized therapy to patients with cutaneous lymphomas: from immunomodulatory to allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
One of the tasks of the department is the study and treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia and T-cell lymphoproliferative diseases. Key staff of the department (Candidate of Medical Sciences, O.A. Aleshina) conduct clinical studies on the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, including using cellular (CAR-T, allogeneic bone marrow transplantation), targeted and immune therapy.
The department conducts a wide range of clinical studies on the treatment of nodal T-cell lymphomas and the development of the latest, relevant and most effective treatment algorithms with allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The priority scientific task is the study of modern diagnostics of cutaneous and nodal T-cell lymphomas.
List of diseases and syndromes with which patients can be referred for examination and treatment:- B-cell and T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia;
- anaplastic large cell lymphomas- ALK-positive, ALK-negative;
- peripheral T-cell lymphoma;
- angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma;
- extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma;
- fungal mycosis;
- primary cutaneous CD30-positive lymphoproliferative diseases;
- B-cell lymphomas of the skin;
- other rare forms of T-cell lymphoproliferative diseases.
Annually, the department performs about 500 chemotherapy courses and 20 allogeneic and autologous stem cell transplants as part of the provision of high-tech medical care for citizens of the Russian Federation, as well as citizens of foreign countries on a contractual basis.
The department is also engaged in pedagogical work and publishes the results of scientific and clinical research.
The key employees of the department provide outpatient consultations within the framework of providing medical care using telemedicine technologies, participate in the development of Russian clinical guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of acute leukemia and lymphoproliferative diseases, present their own unique data at domestic and foreign conferences and participate in research protocols.
