Head of the division- methodologist of the Division of Internal Quality Control of Medical Care Candidate of Medical Sciences
Elena Yegorova graduated from the Medical Faculty of the Tver State Medical Academy in 2001 with a degree in general medicine. From 2001 to 2002 she completed her internship at the Department of Postgraduate Education of the Tver Medical University in the specialty "therapy.” From 2002 to 2004, she completed a clinical residency in the specialty "hematology" at the NMRC for Hematology, and from 2004 to 2007 — postgraduate studies in the same specialty.
She has been working at the NMRC for Hematology since 2002, from 2008 to 2020 — hematologist of the Department for the Standardization of Treatment Methods.
In 2014 Yegorova was awarded the highest medical classification.
Throughout her medical career, Yegorova’s main focus has been the study, diagnosis and development of therapeutic approaches for Castleman’s disease. The results of this scientific activity are published in the manual for hematologists: "Diagnostic algorithms and treatment protocols for diseases of the blood system" (Moscow, 2018) edited by V. G. Savchenko.
In 2016, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences in the specialties "hematology and blood transfusion" and "pathological anatomy" on the topic "Clinical and morphological features of various variants of Castleman's disease.”
Since 2017, she has been actively involved in the management of patients with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura and thrombocytopenia, and until 2019, was the coordinator of the register "Epidemiological and clinical characteristics of ITP in adults in Russia.”
She was a co-researcher in research protocols on chronic B-cell lymphocytic leukemia, fungal sepsis and idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.
In 2020, she passed primary accreditation in the specialty "Health organization and public health.”
Since 2020, she has been the head of the division, methodologist, of the Division of Internal Quality Control of Medical Care of the NMRC for Hematology. The task of the division is the implementation of an internal quality control system at the NMRC for Hematology.
Since 2021, Yegorova has been a member of the NMRC for Hematology’s panel of experts participating in field events in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation on behalf of the NMRC for Hematology in the profile, “hematology.”
Yegorova is the author of 8 and co—author of 30 scientific papers, 17 of them in the last 5 years. She has published 15 articles and 5 abstracts in foreign journals.
