Larisa Kuzmina graduated from the Moscow Medical Stomatological Institute named after N.A. Semashko (1995).
She was trained in clinical residency at the Hematological Research Center (1995 to 1997) and studied in full-time postgraduate studies in the Department of Therapy of Hemoblastosis, Depression of Hematopoiesis and Bone Marrow Transplantation (1997-2000). She was enrolled as a doctor in the Department of Hemoblastosis Chemotherapy and Bone Marrow Transplantation of the NMRC for Hematology in 2000
In 2001 she defended her thesis for the degree Candidate of Medical Sciences on the topic "Transplantation of Allogeneic and Autologous Hematopoietic Cells in the Treatment of Patients with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia."
From 2010 to 2011, Kuzmina worked as a senior researcher, and in 2011 she was transferred to the position of the head of the Department of Hemoblastosis Chemotherapy and Bone Marrow and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation.
She holds the highest qualification category in specialty "hematology".
L.A. Kuzmina regularly participates as a speaker at scientific Russian and foreign conferences devoted to the problems of transplantation of autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic cells in patients with hemoblastosis.
