Gratitude to the hematologists A.K. Smolyaninova, S.A. Tatarnikova and E.E. Zvonkov
I would like to express my gratitude to our healthcare system and, in particular, the NMRC for Hematology, Moscow, for the opportunity to receive highly qualified assistance, despite the current foreign policy situation. I was treated from October 2022 to April 2023 in the Department of High-dose Lymphoma Chemotherapy with Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit (head of the department, E.E. Zvonkov). Thank you to our domestic medicine. Thank you that we have doctors and institutions like these, where they can really achieve the impossible. My doctors were A. K. Smolyaninova and S.A. Tatarnikova, under the leadership of the head of the department E.E. Zvonkov. The course of my disease was atypical, as a result of which the doctors had to adjust the planned treatment regimen. Thanks to the accumulated experience of the doctors, they were able to accurately select the correct treatment, bring me into remission, and successfully perform a bone marrow transplant. The doctors gave me a chance at life! Thank you to our country, where we have such talented doctors who are suited for their work with such responsibility, eager not only to help people, but to also move our medicine forward, to find new treatment and diagnosis schemes for diseases. Even when it became clear that the disease was resisting, I was sure that I was in safe hands. While in the department, I saw absolutely, in my opinion, unique cases of treatment for what, as far as I know, is considered incurable so far. Thanks to such institutions, such bright minds of doctors, patients who, in fact, have no chance, get the gift of a second life. I would also like to note the attitude of all the junior medical staff towards the patients: during my six months of treatment, I felt completely at home. Housekeeping, nurses, everyone is so attentive, responsible! They approach their work with full dedication. Thanks to our country for paying attention to such institutions, giving talented doctors the opportunity to apply their knowledge and share this knowledge with the regions. I bow low to all those who gave me a chance at life! And also to all those who may not be mentioned much in the reviews, but whose contribution to the common cause is also undeniable: cooks, laboratory workers, diagnostic doctors, surgeons, radiologists, receptionists, stem cell collection workers, and everyone. For me, the NMRC for Hematology is not just a medical institution, but it is a place where our guardian angels work! It is very nice to see familiar faces when you come for another examination, and it is amazing that we, the patients, despite the fact that there are many of us, are remembered and recognized!
